Foals in winter coats

(Princess coat: Vintage, Necklace: DIY (My sister made it), Zebra boots: Emma Cook for Topshop, Floral Headband: Forever21)

So it snowed this week! My lack of snow this year and last has been pretty darn depressing. I love the snow. I thought I was successfully repelling it due to university work, because there is nothing more distracting than the option to play in the snow when you alternatively could be writing an essay on the transatlantic slave trade. Maybe because of this snow never came, snowed for everyone else but me. Treating me like a girlfriend, pushing me away. But this was as much snow as I got, just enough to cover my toes.

This coat is one of my oldest vintage purchases, I got it in school for one of my winter coats and forked out an arm and a leg in postage and customs. It is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself, I love the shape of princess coats, very lady-like. My only beef is that erm.. it is actually a kids coat, explaining the short arms and less than adequate boob allocation. Who really cares though, I can deal with the weird shaped bust it gives me.

The cats were harassing me while I took these. Steve is judging, always judging...

With love from,

Emma x

  11. Love that your cats were judging you. Transatlantic slave trade is interesting!! I never did it at uni (distinct lack of anything American/ non-European to be honest), but wish I had. Your coat is lovely! Can't believe you haven't had more snow though, being up in the North! x

    1. My cats always judge me. Constantly! It is interesting to us history folk, but snow is a bit more fun... I can't understand why we have never spent our evenings on twitter chatting about history, this is happening now. You have been pre-warned!

    1. We can share?! How about that? It was chilly, the little cropped arms were not completely functional in this weather! I like snow all the time, except summer...
