The masks that the monsters wear

Bambi pants: Emma Cook, Off the shoulder top: Vika Gazinskaya for Other Stories, Fur: Miss Selfridge, Shoes: Zara, Purse: 3.1. Phillip Lim

I am obsessed with deer, as you can tell from my header. But all is not what it seems, I am also scared of them. Illogical? I totally agree. It all started with that trip every child has to Santa's grotto. I was 6, meeting the one and only Santa was an exciting prospect, the internet wasn't really a thing so I didn't know about this, turns out a sketchy Santa would be pretty low down on my list of my childhood induced fears. I was petting Dancer, or Vixen, or one of the other 7, while eating a particular delicious Mars Bar ice cream, having a great time, when the deer spooks, turns its head, and smacks me with its antlers.

The dropped ice cream and bruised face were a disappointing fact of life, but the fear developed on Christmas eve when my sister told me they would be back to finish the job. I had to stay in my parents bed that Christmas Eve.

P.S. So I don't seem discriminative I am scared of a large range of animals, including, not limited to; horses, hippos, leeches, eels, snakes, any spiders bigger than a money spider, octopi, needle fish, cookie cutter sharks, killer whales, not a fan of dolphins either, big dogs, seagulls from Scotland. Then there is everything that is not an animal that I am scared of, from the doctors to tissues. Yup.

I want to dream it and it to be true

Dress: ASOS Red Carpet collection // fur: Miss Selfridge // Bow shoes: Topshop // Purse: 3.1 Philip Lim #teenvogue

So... Merry Christmas and Happy New Years I guess, mini hiatus there, my New Years Resolution of making time to blog more is already redundant. But I have come back with snow, a new handbag and a band you should definitely listen to.

So far I have had no snow this winter, which for me is a life tragedy. My boyfriend finally got bored of me waking up and eagerly looking out the window, to only have a disappointed tantrum, and took me to the highlands for guaranteed snow. Which I totally dressed appropriately for...

I wonder what would happen if no-one left?

(Mint Dress: Topshop, Striped jacket: Zara, Purple plated belt: Peter Jensen, Gold shoes: Zara, Egyptian necklace: Miss Selfridge and sunglasses: Raybans (Emma model) #teenvogue

Behold the effects of driving with the windows down on my hair. Not great if we are being honest. There is a major dreadlock situation developing before your eyes in the last picture. As if by magic.

Lookie, canals and stuff, I was actually pretty sad not to see Rosie and Jim sail past with their little sinister faces and duck friend/ side kick/ master. Hands up all 90's kids! Instead of puppets I got a bull dog which was much cuter, albeit more moist but looked rather fetching on his personal barge.

The thoughts you once gave me

(Raspberry skirt: H&M Trend, Cross stitches top: Topshop, Floral jacket: ASOS, Purse: H&M Trend, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Shoes: Swedish Hasbeens) #teenvogue

Two observations from this post, one I have an inability to straighten the back of my hair, oh just face it, the entirety of my hair and two, my knees look like old Benjamin Button. The young Benjamin Button? Whatever, the wrinkly one. Maybe we should move on to how much this skirt looks like a raspberry? Logical to then wear it to berry pick, you know what isn't logical, taking a white bag berry picking. Bad idea.

Favourite Things

1. A real BB cream. My sister bought this for me from Korea, be careful if you order from Korea as a lot of the creams contain bleach which isn't great for skin. BB cream was originally used for people post surgery as such the Korean brands are actually better than our British replicas which are more often than not just tinted moisturizer. I really like using this product, it's very light, not sticky or claggy. It also has a decent SPF to not bother with sun cream on a general day to day basis.

2. Just popped into Miss Selfridge after a tip off from a friend to look at their jewellery and came out with this, added bonus? It was a measly £5. It is actually pretty fancy, lots of detail and thought obviously went into it. And I am a sucker for any jewellery that looks a bit Egyptian.

Iphone case: I was starting to feel a little foolish going to a grown up job with a phone that only had a variety of animal cases to chose from- all with ears might I add. So when I saw this cutie-patootie come online on ASOS, it ended up in my bag. It has the queens guards on it. Pretty cute. Very British. I can only find the ipad case now, see it there, but Beta have other sweet ones online.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
