Favourite Things

 1. New (to me) 1970's winged chair. Hello new friend, kind of the marmite of the chair world. I got it from gumtree for £10, plus some snuggles for Stuart who picked it up for me. Ick. I have had my eyes on chairs like this for ages, I then knew when I got one I would paint it like this. But now I have one I cannot see how it is feasible to actually paint it. So decision has been made, it is staying as it is. I may get a sheep skin for it though, just because.

2. Peanut butter M&M's not peanut M&M's. UK, get on this. And no I am not paying £7 for a medium package, although, America? You think this is a MEDIUM size bag of sweeties?? What on earth does a large look like? Anyway, so good, if you are a peanut kinda girl like me. I love it. And I love peanut butter M&M's. Thank you to the parents for going to America this summer.

3. Sunday walks. This is why this post is late, my delightful other half disappeared back off to University for his masters so I am alone, excluding my girls, (Girl). We took our son Frank for a walk in the country saying au revoir to summer. Anyway, bye boyfriend, see you soon.

What are your favourites this week?

With love from,

  2. Ohh my gosh, I love the aesthetic of your chair! I can imagine it being placed in a summer house in California surrounded by palm trees, but I'm sure it will look lovely wherever you put it in your home!
Also early autumn walks: a yes.

    1. Thanks Katie! I know, when I am a spinster I could sit on it on my balcony and shout at all the passing kids to keep off my lawn. Haha, yes before it gets freezing.

  3. I am loving that chair. Haha you will love it in America. Every type of candy is supersized. I can never finish anything. It's so bad.

    1. I am piggy so I bet I could finish things, except the portions in the cheesecake factory, that has defeated me numerous times.

  4. I think my parents may have had a similar chair when I was younger, I think they are fantastic! The scenery in your country walk photo looks lovely too! So calming. xx

  10. I love the chair. :) Everything in America is absurdly large! You order a medium soft drink and they hand over a gallon.

    1. Thanks Snow! It is pretty neat and amazingly comfy! I know, I am not complaining about how large this bag of sweets are, I am happy to have a bag large enough to swim in.

  12. Er, son!? What!? Confused. But cool if you do have a son! Peanut M&Ms (not peanut butter, just peanut) are the best things ever invented. Peanut butter ones are pretty good too though. I also LOVE your chair. xx

    1. Haha, not my son, he's my boyfriends puppy. As previously discussed I am far too selfish to have children. I know! I love them, they are so salty and great, best sweeties- mainly because I can't get them all the time!!
