Gone sugaring

(Lace/ crochet dress: Little White Lies @ Urban Outfitters, Pony skin belt: Warehouse, Purse: H&M Trend, geometric bracelet: Other stories, Brown wedges: Topshop) #teenvogue

White crochet dress: good, sunny day: good, puppy companion: day made. Frank is getting huge now, still short leg wise and requires a lot of carrying (I don't mind, I welcome the handbag dog tendencies).

This dress was my second graduation dress option, mama got it from me and it is beautiful. I love the tulip sleeves, the transparent back, the peter pan collar and the high quality lace used. It was solely rejected as the graduation dress because I felt the other one was more suitable- I am clearly getting old. This was the first time I have heard of this brand but I shall be buying from them again, sincerely great quality.

In addition, this is post number 100!!Woah! I am not here to celebrate it with everyone as I am in Russia, hence the scheduled posts. I'll be treating myself to vodka, you should all do the same- those who can legally drink anyway. A massive thanks to all of you that follow and leave nice comments, you make me smile daily. I am so happy with what I have managed to do so far and hope you all stick around in the future, that is if you aren't bored of my messy hair and awkward posing.

This is nothing new

(Cord romper: New Look (old), Cream top: H&M Trend, Hat: Urban Outfitters, Wedges: Topshop, beaded necklace: Vintage, shell necklace: Forever 21)

When my sister was little she wanted to be a farmers wife. Having worn these dungarees I think she was almost certainly on to something. Any job which would legitimately give me a reason to dress in a glorified baby grow is highly welcomed. When it comes to dungarees, I have tried many and sent many back, the short versions never seem to fit in the slightest around the hips and show lots of... pants. These fit and during my last clothing clean out mother requested dumping these because I was mainly roaming around the house in these, but look mum, they are back in fashion. This justifies never throwing anything out ever again.

If I crack you open will I taste Pineapple?

Lemuria - Durian

(Check Coat: Zara, Flower applique dress: ASOS, Chain Harness: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Office, Bag: Mulberry Bayswater, Jewellery: miscellaneous) #teenvogue

This jacket, it is fun, I like it. I originally had my eyes on the smaller print top but it was just a really over-sized cut on me and not a nice over-sized, a kind of awkward over-sized, then I saw the coat sitting next to it, it is just over two times the price of the top and what would you get more wear out of? So off I went to the till. It is a little "Queen mum" but at least my Grandma would approve of my wardrobe choice for once! I will attempt a Louis Vuitton S/S 2013 updo soon to match it. Let's be honest, it would be a crime not too.

Can we also just take a moment to admire boyfriends skills at taking a straight photo? Kudos, boyfriend, kudos.

You haven't changed an ounce in my eyes

(Studded Trench: DIY, Striped top: French Connection, Gold skirt: Topshop, Necklace: Urban Outfitters (US), Heels: Primark) #teenvogue

This is the Kelvingrove Museum, it is a beauty. Not only pretty on the outside it also has amazing exhibitions inside, ranging from my favourite Charles Rennie MacIntosh, to some pretty funky Taxidermy. If you find yourself in Glasgow you should definitely go. It is one of my favourite places in Glasgow, and maybe, in my opinion the best Scottish museum, sorry to the Museum of Scotland.

Pretty basic outfit, I love this gold skirt, a lot, I am actually considering naming it. It is huge and it has pockets which is always a plus for me, and gold goes with everything. I remember when I bought this I was like; "what on earth will I wear this with", in response to my ignorant self; "EVERYTHING!!". I am sure you are all sold now, go forth and buy a gold skirt and name it Emma.

Gold gun, girls

All that glitters truly is gold. I am dreaming of a gold Christmas, and any other cliches, even of the amended kind, you can dream of. Gold is festive. Gold equals Christmas. Here are some gift giving ideas surrounding the theme of Gold.

1. Lomography Fisheye camera- similar here, not gold though. I wanted to buy a fish eye lens for my SLR but they were more expensive than my entire camera so I decided against that and went for this from Urban Outfitters. Decent quality photos, but, getting the film developed is SO expensive. I think last time it was £8 for the one film? This seems crazy to me, I am sure it is normal but I now use black and white film because my mum can develop them for me in our little make-shift darkroom/ shoe closet. Good present though. I have had so much fun with it and drag it on most days out.

2. Vintage Gold tone jewellery- Etsy. Etsy is an utter gold mine. I love it, honestly the best jewellery and findings are on there. You just have to be patient with searching or know what you are looking for. Here are some of my top picks, 1, 2, 3, 4. Sadly, it is probably too late to get things shipped over now as some shops take an age to deliver and customs charges can suck, ask the seller if they can label it as a "gift" to avoid the charges.

3. Gold collar tips- to me this is what collar tips should be. Not ones with crazed bull faces on them or spiders. Cutesy, they should hold your cardigan together. Take Emma Pillsbury for inspiration. These babies were a gift and I should wear them more. Check Etsy and eBay for them!

4. Arpege- Lanvin. I like it, but someone did ask who smelt like Grandma's and it turned out to be me wearing this. So if you don't want to smell like charity shops to some maybe steer clear? Buying someone their favourite perfume is such a safe bet when it comes to buying gifts. Everyone wears it and will use it in the future and some people scrimp on it because it can be quite expensive. Just don't buy one they don't like.

5. Essie in Shift Power- I can't speak highly enough of Essie nail polishes. They are the only ones I use now, slave to habits. This gold is lovely, good coverage and staying power. Love it!

6. Urban Decay Glitter liner in Baked- For those who want glittery eyes. I love glitter so if I can have it all over my face I would so this is great for me. The only thing, I find it kind of burns near the eyes... at least until it dries. I have eczema so maybe that is the problem, but after it does dry and the pain subsides I can proceed with my day with sparkly eyes. All good things.

7. If you are really struggling for a gift for someone, I always think a nice photo in a pretty frame does the trick. It is personal and seems a lot more thoughtful than it perhaps is. Often framing photos is something that people never get round to doing so it is quite a sweet present!

Oh, and the gold sequined item under all these photos is a skirt from Zara. Hope you enjoyed my gold themed gift ideas. Have you managed to get all your Christmas shopping done or are you going to attempt to shop in the Christmas Eve rush?

Pull my hair

(Silk top: Urban Outfitters, Watermelon Skirt: DIY, Under skirt: Topshop, Shoes: Marni x H&M, Necklace: eBay, Bracelets: Miscellaneous)

Nothing like spinning around your living room on a week night in a poofy skirt while wearing a bow in your hair! I find adding one of these tutu underskirts to any outfit makes my mental age drop significantly and results in continuous sashaying and twirling.

I did a little DIY on this former Topshop skirt that I got from eBay, I purchased little drop Czech glass beads from online to act as the seeds and got some grosgrain ribbon for the waist band. It was a simple and rewarding DIY, if not slightly childish, this is honestly the skirt of my 10 year old dreams. Since finishing this one I have furthered my potential sewing-mental-breakdown by considering other fruits I could make, Strawberry is top of my list.

If anyone wants instructions on how to make this skirt or information on where I got the materials just ask! I'm sure if I make another, a friend would be a happy bunny!

Does anyone have any other fruits on their mind that would make a good skirt?

Emma x
