Magnolia

Cherry Blossom skirt- Romwe // Broderie blouse- ASOS // Pumps- Zara // Bag- River Island

My obsession with Magnolia trees has no boundary. That is one of my main wishes for when I get my house, is having my very own magnolia tree. If I wasn't such a baby I would have a magnolia flower tattoo, alas, a very real fear of needles has put a stop to that- you are welcome mum.

Sadly, for me, the magnolia season will soon be over. A happy thought however, for anyone in my company. Soon my excessive gasping, arm pulling, or casually taking cuttings for my room will be over for another year.

Someday you will be old

Scuba Skirt- H&M Trend // Polo neck- Primark // Lava Necklace- Cos // Handbag- River Island // Pumps- Zara // Sunglasses- Celine

The day these photos were taken was almost the day I got close to ticking a very important life time ambition off the y'olde bucket list. It's in the top 5 for sure. I really want to hug a lamb. So growing increasingly persistent about this bucket I decided to get proactive and told my family that all I wanted for my birthday was to hug a lamb. My birthday came and went with no lamb hugs, until a few days later mum said she had a present for me. It was a lamb, of sorts. A lamb skin rug, huggable for sure but not exactly what I was imagining. My stress forehead vein increased in size, pulsing, as she pointed out it's cute little spots. The realisation that this was not entirely what I had in mind sunk in and she said she would return it. On the weekend we drove out to the Tannery to get something less mentally scaring. In the tannery I settled on a pink/ nude sheep rug, with the thought process that it didn't remind me much of a sheep being power pink. While exchanging it I made it clear to the farmer that I really liked lambs. My wide eyed enthusiasm wasn't working (I imagine it was most likely borderline manic) and I was slowly accepting defeat. Then a lady came in with her kids, they had a scheduled visit to see his lambs. I subtlety (no-one will believe that) managed to negotiate going in on this seemingly exclusive visit limited to children under ten. I followed the farmer to his farm (kids, don't do this, stranger danger), making sure I was first in line before all the kids. He then showed off all his newly born lambs from the week, SO CUTE! Still no physical contact with the little baes though, until he wondered off, I stayed behind trying to coax one over to me, then this little skippy guy appears from the door the farmer left open and jumps over to me. So much petting, especially of the ears, so soft. He was an orphan and was being bottle fed and was therefore okay for me to pet without getting disowned by his family for smelling like humans. 20 minutes of petting later, the kids had got bored and the farmer was growing weary of my enthusiasm. So, no actual hugs, but pretty close.

Hopefully, it's not just my boyfriend who finds this story endearing...

We love giraffes

(Zodiac Top: & Other Stories, Wool skirt and bow shoes: Topshop, pleated under skirt: Zara, Giraffe purse: River Island) #teenvogue

Yup, Animals is spelt wrong, correct spelling for the name of the song. Or I have been misled. I have never been one to read my horoscope unless I am wanting a giggle at my predicted expense but this sweater is rad.

Although I totally lucked out on my birth month and year (Chinese Zodiac), either way I am the goat or the sheep. Neither are particularly flattering I must say. My sister was born in the year of the bunny and is a zodiac fish. So much zodiac envy.

Much love,

Oh what a web I have woven myself in

( Geometric dress: H&M Trend, Pink purse: River Island, Shoes: Peter Som x Made in Kind, Sunglasses: Celine, necklace: Vintage) #teenvogue

If and when I decide to spawn this dress will be a god send. Roomy. This was one of those items you were oddly attracted to, then you take it to the changing room and like it more than anything else you took in. Not sure why, but the maternity smock style was obviously doing it for me that day.

Much love,

Drink up Baby Doll

(Graphic Floral Dress: ASOS Salon, Feather purse: River Island, Wire necklace: ASOS, Belt: Peter Jensen) #teenvogue

I bought this dress for my boyfriends Graduation Ball (I will never go for a long, shiny, polyester, fitted dress with diamonds on it for Prom/ Dances). This dress is fancy but not too fancy that you couldn't wear it again. I feel like Betty Draper but with less perfect hair, I love the old fashion silhouette and style. It's a classic. Check out the ASOS Salon collection, it's all kinds of pretty, perfect for those summer wedding outfits.

I am heading off to Croatia this weekend for two weeks of burning, hopefully when I return I will feel a bit more inspired to blog and pose for the camera- I have been pulling a lot of ugly faces in my last few attempts to take pictures.

Wind it up

( Clock silk blouse: Vintage, Two tone pleated skirt: H&M Trend, Shoulder bag: River Island, Sunglasses: Celine) #teenvogue

This feels like the most hypocritical post ever. I spent my Friday afternoon volunteering to cut these trees down and promptly returned on Saturday to pose next to them. I don't like hypocrites so let's move on to (I think) my cheapest vintage purchase from the "5 Euro store" in Le Marais in Paris. 5 Euros well spent while my boyfriend queued for my falafel.I miss you Paris. For the food and cheap vintage.

Your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow

(Purple skirt: H&M Trend (shortened), Plaid top: Peter Jensen, white pumps: River Island, gold necklace: Forever21, Mulberry handbag) #teenvogue

I have worn this skirt for a post before, however, since giving it a rather severe cut and hem I felt the need to whip it out again. I think this length is far more suitable for everyday wear, grandma skirt length was a little harder to wear. However, for those who don't agree and enjoyed the length before I was released on it with scissors and a spare afternoon, I sat in bird poops while taking these pictures. Does the good luck/ bird poop thing only apply for a direct hit from a moving bird? If so, damn.

Oh the sky is blue forever

(Silk organza blouse: & other stories, Transformer shoes: & other stories, Tartan trousers: River Island, Strappy bra: H&M, Large leather bag: Zara, Fur Tail: Etsy) #teenvogue

Dressing like a jellyfish at the beach is a bit of  a given for me. I have a vague obsession with Jellyfish, they are truly beautiful. As you can see they feature heavily on my tumblr stream.

Also couldn't resist dragging these plaid trou's out for another spin this winter (although I did wear them all of summer as well). They are the perfect plaid pants, not tacky, good fit and comfy, after I do some post-wash-jean-lunges, I can actually breathe.

With love from,

Emma x
