"Hicks wear gingham"

(Dress: The White Pepper, Coat: Zara, booties: Topshop, gold ankle cuffs: eBay) #teenvogue

You know it is not easy getting onto a hay bale. Especially in heels. I really should have tried harder at trampolining classes.

I feel I have to actually talk about the dress now. I originally bought the ASOS version of it, which on paper was cuter, it had little buttons down the back which as it is a smock I wouldn't have needed to unbutton every time I wanted out of it. This challenge is always a concern for me when buying clothes, I hate getting stuck in them, really freaks me out, especially when I get it so far off and  somehow my arms get drunk and confused and I get stuck, always in an uncompromising position/ stance replicating a 90's dance move. Anyway, I actually hated the shape of the ASOS one. I get that it is a smock and it is meant to look like a maternity dress but this one took it to far so I traded up to the White Pepper one which is perfect. I mean that.

Which outfit was your favourite? Let me know in the comments.

With love from,

Emma x

  2. you look so sweet:-) this one's possibly my favourite and i agree with the getting stuck in clothes thing.. makes me wish i had someone to help me get undressed all the time so i didn't have to feel like suffocating in a dress, ha! xx

  3. I LOVE all of them, it's difficult picking a favourite but I think I liked the denim jacket outfit the best. I totally get what you mean about getting stuck in clothes. When the changing rooms in shops are too small and I think "Oh I don't need to unzip this dress before putting it on" disaster strikes! xx

    1. Haha, that is absolutely the trap I fall into, the lazy, screw that zip I'll squeeze into it. Yeah, that will work! x

  15. I'm so happy to see the Zara coat making a reappearance :) I love it paired with this smock too. The sky is so so beautiful in these photos, your boyfriend (did he take this photos?) should totally be a photographer if he isn't already. He gets it right every time (under your considered direction I'm sure!). My favourite has to be the second with those gorgeous cowgirl style boots though xxx

    1. I love this coat, it's perfectly old lady esque! He actually didn't take this set, this was my best friend. Everyone that I bug to take the pictures does a good job, I got lucky there I guess. He should do more photography though, I think he could get really good at it. xx
