Flowers peepin’ up through a crack in the concrete

(Floral dress: Topshop/ Ebay, Coat: Topshop, Aeroplane belt: ASOS, Proenza Schouler copy: Ebay, Shoes: Marni x H&M, Flower necklace: H&M, Arm cuff: Fashionologie)

So when I was... 16/17 and before I worked in Topshop, my sister bought this dress and I loved it, it was a perfect floral dress; strapless, a little on the vintage side, a cute waffle fabric and florescent. Me and my sister did not have the same dress size so I never could share (steal). Then came eBay, and thank you! I got this dress on eBay a few weeks ago, I have watched lots of them over the years come and go, but I am one of those people who staunchly refuses to pay a lot for anything on eBay, it is basically an online charity shop so paying £35 for a 4-5 year old dress from Topshop was not happening. I think this dress is maybe a bit too summery for February in Scotland but oh well, I did wait 4 years.

Does anyone else have items that they could have bought but didn't and instantly regretted it, resulting in many hours spent trawling for it on eBay?

With love from,

Emma x

  1. Those benchy-flowery things are amazing (what are they?!), and you look so adorable!! I'm not a huge eBayer- I'm just not patient enough to trawl for four years for something- very impressive!!! x

  3. I love the giant flowers! Where are they? I have done that so many times it isn't funny any more. But then that sometimes works out in your favour since you might get it cheaper on Ebay. Ebay is an amazing website!
The dress looks lovely on you, but aren't you freezing??

    1. This is in Glasgow, Scotland under the motorway, weird place for it but it looks neat. Yes! Exactly, it's good for designer items, you can get them for a really decent price! Have you scored any amazing deals before?

I was freezing. It was very cold.

  11. Swoon! That is such an awesome display! And I love your floral dress - it matches the sky-high flowers perfectly. Gorgeous!

P.S. Thank you so much for your comment. My nail shape is square-round {squared off tips, rounded sides}. It's super simple to do with a glass nail file {and very easy to maintain}. :)

    1. Thanks, see that is what I thought, I could have waited and took photos of this dress in the summer but I thought it just matched these flowers that it had to be done.

Thanks! I will have to try it out once my nails are back to normal, I have destroyed them from years of wearing nail varnish without taking breaks!

    1. It was SO cold. I was freezing. But I committed, rather foolishly. I love pears, just not when they go all flowery if you get what I mean. It is super cute, I loved it!
