I am terribly picky with what I now post on the blog, so I
have created a post of my 2013 outfits that didn’t make the cut… as a New Year
treat? Not sure how that works, it was either this or outtakes with weird
faces. And this makes my long suffering boyfriend feel better about those posts I never published that he was dragged out to photograph.
(Greenland Tee:
Due, Leather skirt: Topshop, Jacket: DIY,
Heels: Primark)
When I had bangs- so sad, I always find just as a grow out
my fringe long enough to tuck it behind my ear it is like an alarm goes off in
my head that says “now’s the time to get the forehead warmer back”- which I
usually obey. Onto the clothes, the main show is the t-shirt (which I
reluctantly admit after hours of embellishing the jacket). It is actually a man’s
one that I bought for my boyfriend and "borrowed". Having not been on
Due's website in about 12 months I am pleasantly surprised to see that they
have branched out to swimwear and currently have a cute collection with insects-
for which I am a total sucker for. This is the only post I have no idea why I didn't press publish.
(Jeans: Topshop Jamie tall section - makes for excellent turn ups, Leopard jacket: Topshop boutique, Tee: Glasgow University, heels: Primark, belt: Peter Jensen, Bag: Zara)
One of the few times you will see me in jeans. As previously disclosed I just don't like them on my body. Although I didn't post this it is one of my favourites as this is on my Ex-Universities campus which I miss for it's stunning beauty and atmosphere. There is not much I miss about University life but I miss this being my place of work.
(Floral dress: Topshop, lace dress: Topshop, Shoes: Marni x H&M)
Double Topshop obviously wasn't working for me. The idea of steer/ lace on solid pattern appeals. Idea - good, execution- bad. Must try harder. Good for spinning though.
(Shorts: DIY, Top: Topshop, wedges: ASOS)
This post is the one I really wanted to work but didn't. Stuart took beautiful photos but I was letting the side down. I hope that in 2014 this hill in an industrial estate where I work blooms again. It was stunningly breath taking. This years summer as a whole did amazing on the flower front.
(Dress: Vintage, Bag: Vintage, Shoes: Marni x H&M)
New Years resolution? Stop wearing the Marni's and give my other shoes some love. Again, another that just never felt right to me. Guess that happens with Vintage clothes, sometimes they just don't work with you.
(Dress: ASOS, under skirt: Topshop, Belt: Peter Jensen)
It was so windy when we took these that nothing really worked. Scottish weather...
(Cashmere Jumper: H&M, Skirt: Zara)
I can never get those low sun/ autumnal pictures to work. I love these two images but that's all that worked that didn't have the sun blending all my facial features into one blob face.
Hope that was vaguely enjoyable.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and Best Wishes for 2014. Thanks for all the virtual hugs I get from all your nice comments and messages. It means a lot.
