Grey Gardens

(feather cardigan and kilt: Topshop boutique, Wide brim hat: H&M Trend, silver pumps: & Other Stories, textures cami: New Look,  necklace: DIY) #teenvogue

White on white and black on black. I raise you. Try Grey on Grey. A depressing majority of my wardrobe is grey. It matches my personality. Don't suppose anyone has ever seen the documentary of Grey Gardens, not the weird Drew Barrymore adaptation? If not, I highly recommend it. Little Edie is maybe my favourite person and Big Edie is maybe my least favourite person. Obviously it is depressing, but who wouldn't find some pleasure in watching Little Edie being cute and Big Edie getting annoyed at the cats peeing on her portrait, while demanding ice cream? If you don't have 100 minutes spare, do watch Edie's flag dance that I linked above. It is too cute and makes me proud.. to be an American...?

With love from,

Emma x

  6. hahah as the cats pee on the portraits. i saw the berrymore one and thought it was really good! they were sort of a creepy duo. and even though it's all grey i still think it's really lovely! i've been getting into neutrals lately so this outfit is right up my alley- and your hat is fantastic!

    1. They are creepy- because it could be my reality, that would be sad. They are the saddest spinsters. Glad someone has seen this otherwise I would have sounded insane. x

  17. Never seen it, but can imagine the Drew Barrymore version is weird.

Grey on grey, wouldn't say it's depressing, more demure, especially against your hair colour.

    Hmm maybe...
